Short Courses and
Training
The Center for Remote Sensing and Mapping Science (CRMS), in conjunction with the Georgia Center for Continuing Education, conducts several short courses on the latest image processing, mapping and GIS techniques throughout the year. Drawing participants from throughout the United States and Canada, these classes attract representatives from academia, private industry and government agencies concerned with resource inventory and environmental monitoring.
Typical topics include the Integration of GPS, Digital Image Processing and GIS for Natural Resource Applications and training sessions on the Desktop Mapping System (DMS), pc Arc/Info and ArcView.
Individual training on specific topics also may be scheduled as needed.
