Educational Activities
The CRMS undertakes service work for local and state agencies that involves refinement of mapping techniques, processing of spatial data and technology transfer. It also works closely with other laboratories, centers and institutes of the University, including the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, Center for Applied Isotope Studies, Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Advanced Computational Methods Center, University of Georgia Marine Institute, and the Institute of Ecology.
Short courses on mapping, GIS and remote sensing technologies and their applications are offered by the CRMS in conjunction with the Georgia Center for Continuing Education.
